Summer Hockey Camp
A three-day intensive Hockey Camp, powered by Discover Camps and lead by former World U18 Club Championship winner and England Masters player, Paul Robinson. Hosted at Westonbirt School’s state of the art Astro, and open to all intermediate and developing players, camp attendees will work on fundamentals, develop their key skill be well prepared for the hockey season ahead. These sessions take place from 8:00 – 5:30 for ages 7-14.

Meet The Coach
Paul Robinson
When a junior at Havant Hockey Club, lead coach Paul Robinson was part of the U18 team that won the National Club Cand World Club Championship in Sydney, Australia. By this time, he had already become a regular in the National League and in 2005, went on to the join the Army where he has been a regular player for a variety of UK Armed Forces and Army Hockey Teams. He coached the Ladies to their highest National Indoor League finish and won both Armed Forces titles before becoming a senior sport science lecturer at The University of Chichester. In recent years, he has represented the England Masters over 35s and over 40s. Paul will be supported by qualified coaches.
Across three days, children will develop fundamental skills, technical ability and tactical understanding. Sessions progress from core techniques such as first touch, footwork and defensive positioning to attacking play, hitting techniques and decision-making in game situations.
Each day includes small-sided and competitive games, giving children the opportunity to practise their skills, build confidence, work as a team and enjoy their hockey.
Book individual days (£60) or all three days (£165). A hot, nutritious lunch is included.
