Adventure Camp

Date: Wed 5 August – Fri 7 August
Location: St Edward's Prep School, Reading

Adventure Camp, is an unforgettable immersive nature-based experience for children ages 8 – 14 years, that combines outdoor adventure, environmental education and personal development. Adventure Camp is where Discoverers grow confidence, build resilience and develop a deeper understanding of the environment.

What to Expect

At Adventure Camp, children step into a fully immersive outdoor experience at the brand-new Canvas Camp, set within the stunning 210-acre Westonbirt Estate in the heart of the Cotswold countryside.

After toasting marshmallows over an open fire and sharing stories of their day, children will enjoy settling into their sleeping bag for a night under canvas, after a day filled with adventure and discovery.

Each day is carefully designed to build skills progressively across four key areas: Bushcraft, Environment, Physical Activity and Wellbeing. From learning essential outdoor skills to tackling team challenges, children grow in confidence while developing a genuine connection with nature.

Led by experienced and qualified outdoor education professionals, every element of the programme is thoughtfully delivered to ensure children feel safe, supported and inspired throughout their adventure.

By the end of their Adventure Camp experience, Discoverers leave with:

  • increased confidence and independence
  • stronger teamwork and communication skills
  • practical outdoor knowledge and problem-solving abilities
  • a deeper appreciation for the natural world

Above all, they will have a host of unforgettable memories and new friendships.  And with high staff-to-child ratios and a strong focus on safety and wellbeing, parents can feel confident that their child is being cared for by a group of friendly, skilled professionals
