Winter Hockey Camp

LOCATION: Westonbirt School, Tetbury

A Hockey Masterclass, powered by Discover Camps and lead by former World U18 Club Championship winner and England Masters player, Paul Robinson. Hosted at Westonbirt School’s state of the art Astro, and open to all intermediate and developing players, camp attendees will work on fundamentals and develop their key skills for the winter hockey season.  These sessions take place from 8:00 – 5:30 for ages 7-14.

Hockey Masterclass, powered by Discover Camps

Players will focus on foundational techniques from first touch and how to avoid the opposition, to defence positioning and footwork. They will develop technical skills with a focus on refining hitting techniques and attacking in key areas.  With small-sided games players can put their new skills and techniques into practice under the expert eye of qualified and experienced coaches. £60 including wrap-around provision and a hot nutritious 2 course-lunch.

Meet The Coach

When a junior at Havant Hockey Club, lead coach Paul Robinson was part of the U18 team that won the National Club and World Club Championship in Sydney, Australia. By this time, he had already become a regular in the National League and in 2005, went on to the join the Army where he has been a regular player for a variety of UK Armed Forces and Army Hockey Teams. He coached the Ladies to their highest National Indoor League finish and won both Armed Forces titles. In recent years, he has represented the England Masters over 35s and over 40s.
